Tweed Wealth announced as winner of International Adviser’s Best Practice Award.

2021 ended on a high, when Tweed Wealth was announced as the winner of International Adviser’s Best Practice Award for Excellence in Business Strategy in the UK.

The judges described us as “worthy winners, with a straight-to-the-point strategy – to set out with great clarity some real visions and business objectives that are soundly based and achievable.”

Recognition is always great, but I’m especially delighted with this award, as it reflects the hard work we have put into shaping this practice and the feasibility of our business plan. For the last two years I have been working closely with our management team to clearly set out that plan. Our aims are bold – to grow our client bank, to have a billion in funds under management, to be a truly UK-wide practice, and to make chartered status a basic standard for all UK advisers. This award vindicates our vision.

It was an in-depth and comprehensive application process that made us really think about who we are as a practice, and where we are going.  In particular, it prompted us to consider our short, mid- and long-term business plan, and to make sure that we had buy-in from everyone in the team. Thankfully, that continues to be the case and together we are aiming to lead this industry from the front. For example, five of our ten advisers are already chartered, and the rest are working towards that status imminently.

We will be aiming for plenty more awards in 2022, as this is the way to differentiate our practice in a crowded industry. We believe in our plans for the future of Tweed Wealth, and it’s wonderful to see that others do too.

I’d like to thank the entire team for their contribution to our win, as well as the professors of strategy at Bayes Business School, who helped shaped my own thinking.
