Tweed New Awards

2022 was another banner year for success and industry recognition at Tweed. In December we were announced as the winners of three International Adviser awards: Best Practice Adviser, Best Support Team, and the coveted award for Best Adviser Firm in the UK.

The judges were very complimentary about the way we work, describing us as a “standout” practice. They spoke highly of our “tightly knit team,” pointing in particular to how well our back office supports our advisors to make sure that client service runs smoothly.

I was delighted to hear the judges mention our ambitious plans for growth in Scotland, to “fill the need for advice in that region.” It was also gratifying that they mentioned how well we have placed technology “at the heart of our business” and have become strong advocates for second careerists entering the sector. Each of these issues is close to my heart and at the centre of how we want to reshape financial advice in the future.

When we won an award in 2021, I wrote that our future aims would be bold. That remains the case going forwards, but we have achieved so much in the last twelve months. We became a Chartered Financial Planning firm, we acquired McLeod & Maccallum Wealth Management, and our fund grew to over £435 million. All of this shows our appetite for growth, and these new awards make it clear that we are able to expand without sacrificing what makes us great – the quality of our advice.

Our ambitions never cease. In 2023 we will continue to strive to be leaders and innovators. We think that Tweed Wealth can set an example for the future of our industry, and it’s deeply satisfying to see that other believe we are on the right track.

My thanks go out to our fantastic team for their commitment and resilience that has contributed to our win. 2022 was a challenging year in the financial sector, and I’m so proud to see the team pull together, work hard, and be recognised for it.
